Puy du Fou Theme park, Les Epesses, France - April 27, 2014

We got a free ticket to the theme park Puy du Fou in Les Epesses, France with our season passes to Efteling Amusement Park in the Netherlands.  So we decided to spend a couple nights in this area and visit the park.  It was pouring rain the day we went to the park but we still managed to have fun.  They put on a lot of great shows and it was really beautiful.  This was the room with the dancing dresses.  The dresses danced above your heads as if there were women inside them.
This was the King and Queen of the room.  They had amazing costumes as well.

Isabelle and Aurelie with the King and Queen.

This was a show with automated figures appearing in the neighboring buildings all gradually playing music together.

They had a little barn section with lots of animals for the kids to see.  We stayed here for a while until the rain stopped pouring down.

They have little concerts here but unfortunately we were not there at the right time.  The surroundings were beautiful though.
This is the restaurant we went to for lunch.  It was a really fancy and expensive restaurant but due to the rain there was not much selection.  The food was really good though.

Here is a shot from one of the many shows this theme park offers.  This one was the bird show and I was amazed with the number of birds they used in the show.  There were moments when dozens of birds would be in the sky at the same time.  They also had really exotic birds which were really well trained and were almost like actors in the show.

The medieval village section of the park.  Very beautiful.

King Arthur removing the sword from the stone.

The knights of the round table actually met in the middle of the lake.  They just drained the water around the table.  Pretty awesome.

This was from a viking show we saw and the ship came down the hill and went into the lake.

They had a ship that came out of the water for the show.  At the end the ship went back down into the water.

The bird section of the park.  They had a lot of amazing birds to look at.  Some of them we could get really close to.

The beautiful ferris wheel we could finally put the kids on after it stopped raining.
