Easter Pictures

This is actually the last picture of the day because shortly after it was taken Xavier slipped on the wet stones and fell in the water. Unfortunately we did not have an extra pair of pants with us but we did have some extra underwear and a pair of warm stockings so he had to just wear that home. Good thing we did not visit the ducks at the beginning of our visit.

A rare photo of me in front of one of the large play areas.

Lilly, Esther, and Jen.

Here are some cute pictures of the kids feeding the goats. They loved being able to touch and feed some animals.

Xavier had a great time driving the cars with Thomas. He would have done this all day if we let him.

Julien's favorite part of the day was definitely riding the horses. He was so proud and had no fear at all. What a brave little guy.

Lilly is a pro already. Doesn't surprise me though, she learned how to ride her new bike in only 10 minutes.

This is one happy boy. He did not want to get off the horse. We will have to take him horseback riding more often.

Xavier had a great time riding the horses as well.

Ever since we rented the movie "G-Force" Xavier has loved guinea pigs. I think he actually believes they are smart enough to be real spies for the government and wear spy equipment and perform secret missions when no one is watching.

Thomas, Lilly, and Xavier watching the penguins.

Xavier and Lilly holding hands. They are so cute together.

We got each of the boys a cute Easter bunny bag to put their chocolates in. Xavier carried his all day and managed to keep from eating all the chocolate inside. We were very impressed.

Julien getting tired. He actually fell asleep in the stroller/pram. That almost never happens.

Julien and Thomas goofing around in the orangutan house. They had the cutiest little baby orangutan as well. I love visiting the zoo in the spring time when all the animals have little babies.

Our little goofball. He is so silly and such a joy to be around.

Xavier got an Easter coloring book and some new coloring pencils. He immediately started creating pieces of art and even let Julien take a turn. What a sweet boy.

Hungry boy. We had a wonder Easter meal. Thierry made an entire goose. Very yummy. Sorry I didn't take any pictures of it but I was too busy eating.

We got each of the boys a new Easter smock to eat or paint in. They love them.

Shortly after this picture was taken I noticed both boys had decided to draw on the floor. Luckily it came off fairly easily.

Their favorite treat and the first to be eaten was the Kinder eggs. Not only yummy chocolate but a cute little toy inside as well. Got to love that.

What to eat next..... so many choices.

Julien loves his stuffed Easter bunny. It is really nice and soft.

The joys of chocolate. I think I might have got a bit carried away this year. Hopefully they share a bit with their loving parents.

Here are some pictures from our Easter holiday. The boys loved getting their Easter baskets and had a great time going to the Munich Zoo for their annual Easter celebration. We got to go on a wonderful scavenger hunt to find specific animals in the zoo and then get their Easter cards stamped by a person dressed in a bunny costume. Xavier's favorite animal visit was at Villa Dracula to see the bats. One even landed on his hand and he loved it. He thought they were very cute and wanted to keep going back to see if another one would land on him. I guess he takes after his mother.
At the end of the scavenger hunt they each got a huge handful of yummy Lindt chocolate treats. They had a great time and we were very happy to go with our friends Esther and Lilly, as well as Andy, Karel, and Thomas. What a wonderful day. We left at just the right time as well because we drove through a hail storm on the way home.
