Julien

Here are some pictures I took today of Julien. I finally took my cousin Julie's example and got some baby bum pictures. You can also see how his left eye is both blue and brown. Apparently my Grandpa Taylor was the same way with different colored eyes. So I guess I know where he gets it. He is such a sweet boy. I don't know what I would do without him. He has proved to me that not all children are are challenging as his older brother. He is growing so fast. He is rolling and scooting all over the floor now and is starting to push up to the crawling position. It won't be long before he is speeding around on all fours.

Zoo and other pictures

Here are a couple of pictures from the Munich Zoo as well as a couple of Keeley feeding Julien some baby food at the restaurant afterwards.

Julien was really good and ate the entire pot of food. I was very impressed. Keeley was a master feeder. Julien had hardly any food on him at all afterwards.

Xavier had a great time at the zoo and especially loved seeing the bears. We were fortunate enough to see one of the polar bears playing with a large ball right next to the glass. He was dragging the ball under water and then letting it pop up again. He seemed to be having a great time. It was amazing to see such a large polar bear up close. We were also able to get a good view of the brown bear. He is so cute.

Elodie, Johanna & Charlotte visit us in Dorfen

Here are some pictures of Elodie and her two daughters Johanna and Charlotte. They came to visit us and we all went to the park together. Xavier had a great time playing with Johanna and even gave her a big kiss when it was time for her to leave. Charlotte is such a sweet baby. It was great holding her and seeing her smile. It is amazing how much she looks like her papa Laurent. Julien loved looking at Charlotte as well. I think he was really happy to see a person his size. We will definately have to get together again soon.

Legoland 3

We decided to celebrate the 4th of July this year on the 5th of July and go to Legoland. They are open late every Saturday in July and have a great firework show in the evening. It was a beautiful day and there were surprisingly few people there. We hardly had to wait in line at all for the rides.

Xavier was a little afraid of the fireworks at first because of the loud booms but after we made a big deal over all the pretty colors he seemed to like it. Julien loved it. He just looked up in awe and would only startle a little at the noise but just stared with his mouth open at all the pretty lights. That boy is not afraid of anything.

We got to see 2 different 4D movies that Xavier loved and we also saw a magic show. Julien didn't like the movies or the magic show that much though because it was so loud and he was tired. But he managed to get a nap before the firework show so he was in a great mood for that.

It was a great day but a bit tiring. We didn't leave Legoland until after 11:00 PM and then had to drive for 2 hours to get home. But at least we had a great time.
