Movie Park, Bottrop, Germany - June 1, 2014

We went to Movie Park in Bottrop, Germany because we got a free pass with our season passes to Efteling.  They had a wonderful Nickelodeon section with tons of rides for the kids.  It was a blast.  It was also nice to speak German again.  I am still learning Dutch so I get uncomfortable speaking it but being back in Germany I was excited to be able to speak normally and finally be understood clearly and have people speak German back in return.  It was also nice to go to a German restaurant afterwards and get a normal sized beer.  They apparently only have small glasses in the Netherlands.  It was nice to be in a place where 500 ml was the normal size.

This was one of the play areas in the park.  The kids loved playing on the pirate ship.

The Van Helsing ride.  Very cool.  It was really gothic and freakish looking inside while you were waiting in line with messages that would only show up when the black lights turned on.  There were also detached arms and monster claws hanging from the ceiling.  Considering Halloween is my favorite holiday and "The Nightmare Before Christmas" is my favorite movie, I was in heaven.
