Thierry's Journal
English/Anglais-----------------------
I finally got around to add a new entry to this journal.
We have been quite busy since we arrive but it finally starts to come down. I'm still looking for a job, but we can still afford to be a bit picky right about getting a good salary...
...still, I start to get a good understanding of the market place here in Utah.
Aside from job hunting, I get some time for myself too. I just went play billiard with Jen's dad, Richard. That was fun.

The kids are also getting used to their new home. They are being a lot less agitated and are starting to find their marks. They have their favorite toys and TV shows. It's very convenient to have video on demand! Julien is watching his favorite show right now 'cause he had a late nap and woke up from it. I'm hoping he will fall asleep it front of it...

We're having Maxx, Emma, and little CJ to sleep over here tomorrow night. The kids are really excited about it. this made me think I had to reload the Wii batteries!

Also don't forget to read older post, Jennifer posted a few at once. There is Chucky-Cheese, were the kids can play video game and eat pizza. Julien loved the electric cars there!
We went to "Thankgiving Point" a dinosaur museum with a lot of play activities all throught he exposition. We got a yearly family card for it, 'cause it's great to go there when it's cold outside!

Xavier is doing great at kindergarten. He has learned to focus on what he has to do. Since we arrived, he learned to write his first and last name, as well as writing numbers up to 20. He now write small words every weeks for homework, like "fun", and "write". The other day he started to write the name of a diction nary "Webster's" that's how far he got before he got distracted, but this was after a full day at kindergarten. We think the "phonics" extra course he is taking at school helps him a big time into liking learning. They use positive reinforcemtn to have the kids change their behavior, and I got to learn how to apply this just watching the teacher when I drop him in the morning.

Aurelie is growing so fast. She comes up with a new sound everyday and already has a heart melting smile when you look at her... ...yep, she already has that magic little finger girl learn to use on their dads, she got me wrapped around it!

That's it for now!

I hab Billard mit mein Schwiegervater Heute gespielt.

Aurélie is now 5 months old!!!!

Our baby is now 5 months old. I can't believe how fast she is growing. She has turned into such a sweet little girl. She smiles all the time and loves to rock back and forth. She still looks a lot like Thierry and has stolen away all our hearts. We are so blessed to have her in our lives. We love you Aurélie.

Thanksgiving Point 2

We went back to Thanksgiving Point for a family evening they were doing for Christmas. The boys made reindeer hats and cookies, and even met two real reindeer. Then we went out to eat for hamburgers. All in all it was a great evening. Christmas is almost here...

Thanksgiving Point

We went to a wonderful place called Thanksgiving Point and liked it so much we bought an annual pass so we can come back whenever we want. It has an awesome dinosaur museum and some beautiful Christmas lights you can drive through in your car. We will be coming here often so I am sure you will see more pictures of this place.

Winter pictures

Here are a few pictures we took over the last month. Xavier made a great snowman and we went to a lovely outdoor shopping center in Provo that had Santa there for the kids to visit. Xavier drew 2 pictures to give to Santa and even wrote his name and the number 5 on them to let him know how old he is. He is doing great in kindergarten. He has learned so much in the last month and a half we are really amazed. Santa was so impressed with the pictures Xavier drew that he took them home with him to the North Pole. That made Xavier really happy. The kids sure are having a great time here.

Festival of Trees

We went to the Festival of Trees to see all the nicely decorated trees on display. The kids had a great time. They had wonderful activities for them to do. Xavier and Julien made some nice decorated bags, Xavier made a candy cane Christmas ornament, and Julien made a fuzzy animal. We also got some great balloon swords for the boys to dual with. Xavier's even had a belt that he could put his sword in and then draw it out to fight his brother. The trees were really beautiful and it was great to visit them with my sister Jill and her kids Reagan, Eli, and Whitney. Thanks for going with us Jill.
