Pictures: Goodbye Germany

Here are some pictures we took before leaving Germany. These first pictures were taken around Dorfen. We loved living in this town. It is so beautiful there. The first few pictures were taken right around Xavier and Julien's kindergarten.

This is a picture of the Kindergarten. I loved walking them to school because the view was so amazing.

I love this hillside. We passed this on the way to the kids doctor's office. So beautiful.

One of the many beautiful roads we got to drive on. There are a lot of small forests there. I loved being around so many trees.

Some tractors on the road. The boys loved seeing all the tractors, especially Julien. He made sure to point out every tractor he saw whenever we were driving in the car.

Lots of farmland in and around Dorfen. I loved seeing how the landscape changed throughout the year and watching the plants grow.

A field ready for planting.

Can you believe this view? This is right next to where we lived. So beautiful.

Here are some pictures of downtown Dorfen. This town is older than Munich. It was first called Dorfen on August 28, 773. So the town is over 1,237 years old.
There is some great information about the town under this website: http://www.dorfen.de The website is only in German though but you can see some great pictures there if you don't understand the language.

I included some pictures of my girls night out with my good friends Patricia and Veronika in Dorfen. We had a great time. I will really miss you two. Vielen Dank für alles. Ich weiss nicht was wir ohne euch gemacht hatten. Wenn sie etwas brauchen wir sind immer für sie da. Wir lieben euch.

I also included some pictures from Peggy's graduation party in Munich. Our wonderful friends prepared a calendar for us with pictures of our lives with them over the past 9 1/2 years. I look forward to seeing those pictures throughout 2011 and remembering all the wonderful times we had with our friends in Germany.
Congratulations Peggy on getting your doctorate in Chemistry. Good luck in the future. Hopefully you will find your dream job and create wonderful things with your knowledge.
Both Julien and Xavier were really sick on this day so they just stayed on our laps and watched, which was great for us because we did not have to chase them around the restaurant.
We will miss all of our friends. Thank you to all of you for being there for us. We hope to come for a visit soon, you are all welcome to stay with us in Utah if you ever choose to come here for a visit.

Xavier will really miss his first girlfriend Lilly. They just loved playing together. We will really miss Lilly and her wonderful mother Esther. Hopefully we will see them again soon. We sure had a lot of fun at Esther's house. Thank you Esther for all the help you gave us after Aurélie was born. You are a wonderful person. Please come to visit us soon.

Here are some pictures from our going away party in Freising with all of Thierry's work colleagues. The picture above is of me and Elodie who was the very person to introduce me to Thierry. Thank you Elodie for introducing me to my husband and for being such a great friend. We will miss you. Take care of your beautiful daughters. Hopefully we will see you again soon.

Thierry will really miss all the wonderful people he worked with. That was the hardest thing about leaving Germany for him. Thanks to all of you for being such great friends. Hopefully we can visit you again soon.
